In late November, A&A Paving Contractors, Inc. team members happily spent a lunch break shopping for toys to donate to For the 10’s Holiday Gift Mart. Delighted with their task, these shopping elves filled carts with holiday presents for local children. Incredibly, these children will receive these gifts from their parents, who will no longer have to worry whether they can afford gifts this holiday season. The EEA Award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurship in the six-county suburban Chicago region. Turns out… you can have TONS of fun. The A&A Paving team had a wonderful day volunteering at a Feed My Starving Children Packing event, hand-packing rice, soy, dried vegetables and nutritious vitamins in packets that are distributed to the neediest children around the world. Working with several other volunteer groups during our session, FMSC made it possible for us to prepare more than 30,000 meals! Throughout our volunteer shift we had a fun, upbeat and energizing experience – while getting the chance to impact hundreds of people in only two hours. The A&A Paving team worked hard to prepare and present an informative and show-stopping booth at the recent BOMA/Suburban Chicago Expo.
